NPAC – A Year In Review
To NPAC’s amazing supporters,
2023 has been a year of growth and success for Newport Performing Arts Center and I wish to take this opportunity to personally thank all of you for your continued support, generosity, and enthusiasm as we enter 2024!
This past year has seen a flurry of activity including reignition of the Capital Campaign, intimate reengagement events with donors, a SOLD-OUT Summer Soiree in August on the beautiful grounds of the International Tennis Hall of Fame, an exciting day hosting a booth & open house at the Broadway Street Fair, and the restart of monthly open house days for the public to visit and tour the theater. NPAC’s story was also featured in several local media outlets including What’s Up Newp, Providence Business News, and Newport This Week.
All this activity and growth was realized through a combination of our amazing annual donors, an administrative support grant from the Doris Duke Foundation, an energetic team of volunteers, Campaign support from Vacation Newport, and generous event support from NPAC Board members and BankNewport. NPAC’s progress would not be possible without you!
As we enter 2024, the Board of Directors and Campaign Team, working with Palmer Westport Group, continues to raise the funds needed to complete the building and I look forward to sharing milestones in the campaign as we reach them. I am also excited to continue to offer monthly open houses for the community to visit the theater, see first-hand the intense structural work the building received during Phase I of construction, and learn more about what the future holds for the project. I especially enjoy meeting and speaking in-person with our visitors! The next open house has been scheduled for Saturday, December 23, 2023, from 10:00 am – 12 noon. Be sure to visit with your friends and relatives while you are in town shopping for last-minute holiday gifts at our many exceptional local shops.
We also understand the importance of addressing concerns about the project and ensuring the future year-round business is clearly articulated. Bringing Newport-based marketing team, Moonbird Studios, into the project has exponentially increased our ability to update our supporters with increased social media outreach, newsletters, and materials design. I am grateful for their expertise, professionalism, and enthusiasm for the project!
NPAC recognizes our ability to continue to opening night is made possible by you and our many supporters over the years. We are thankful for your continued support and enthusiasm and look forward to sharing our progress with you through 2024.
As we approach the end of the year, please consider making a donation to our annual fund. Every dollar is critical so that we may continue the push to opening night, you may do so here.
Wishing you a happy and healthy New Year!
